FRANKFORT — Kentucky is commandeering 141 domain names of Internet gambling sites in a novel legal move to crack down on the unregulated industry.

Franklin Circuit Judge Thomas Wingate ordered the names transferred to the state last week, Gov. Steve Beshear announced Monday.

Sites affected include such names as caribbeangold.com and sportsbook.com.

If officials get their way at a Sept. 25 forfeiture hearing, the state will control the domain names and can ask Web registrars to block access to the sites, said Justice and Public Safety Secretary J. Michael Brown.

Kentucky would become the first state to seize a gambling operation’s domain name, Brown said.

He acknowledged that such a move could block access to the domains worldwide, but said he was interested only in its effect on Kentucky.

How to Craps… LOL, You need to love the game for the name alone

♠ November 16th, 2007 by ♣ Gnummy

I keep trying to figure out if it was called craps because of the number of sucker ‘crap” bets in it or just for the simple fact of being crap. This game is honestly on of the hardest table games in the casino to master and truly one of the hardest for a new player to learn. Here are some great sucker bet examples for Craps:

Big Six and Big Eight

Big six and big eight are found in the corners of some layouts, and they are the ultimate sucker bets. Each is a wager on one number, either 6 or 8, to roll before the 7. Big six or big eight works exactly like a place bet except the payoff is even money. That’s right. $30 on the big six wins $30. The same money “place the six” will bring $35.

Why would anyone play the big six/eight? It’s usually a favorite of minimum-bet players who don’t want to put up the few extra dollars it takes to properly place the six/eight. Others bet big six/eight out of ignorance or because they don’t like to work with dealers (the bets can be made without dealer assistance).

The house edge on big six/eight is a nasty 9.1 percent. That’s comparable to a progressive slot machine, but without the one-in-a-few million chance of winning a fortune. Big six/eight simply bleeds its suckers dry. The bet is so bad that it’s not allowed in Atlantic City.

While craps has a lot of sucker bets it also has bets that lower the casino winning percent to respectable levels such as other table games like roulette, and even better odds than the slots although the pay out on some of these bets are 3-1 compared to a slots thousands to 1. Overall craps is a community game its about hooting and howling for the next shooter and cheering for them to roll your number. There tends to be a lot of excitement around the craps table. Craps is definitely one of the most interactive games in the casino. Craps allows the player to pick up the gambling medium in his or her hands and roll them. Go up and try to spin a roulette wheel… Lol it ain’t gonna happen. As a player you should be aware of the “better bets” so you can make the most in the game you are playing. Craps is a lot of fun to play and a lot more fun to learn. Have fun busting the house at craps.

Cha-Ching

♠ November 7th, 2007 by ♣ Gnummy

The smoke filled casino was bustling with activity. When Bob noticed his brother jumping up and down like a mad man., he quickly hurried over towards him, as he approached he noticed the familiar sound of the quarters clanking against the bottom of the machine.
“How much did you win?” asked Bob.
Gnar laughed, “Not enough to retire.”
“Bummer!” said Bob.
“I hit 7-7-7.” said Gnar.
“Good Job,” Bob replied. “Now you are paying for dinner. Right?”
With an evil grin Gnar chuckled, “I suppose so, isn’t that how we always do it bro?”
The clanking of the quarters almost slowed to a halt. When a female voice interrupted, “Would you like another Jack n’ Coke Mr. Gnar?”
“Sure thing,” said Gnar. “You need something to drink Bob?”
“Nah I am good little bro. Remember I am the duty driver tonight,” Bob stated.
“So where you want to grub?” Gnar asked.
Bob said with a puzzled look on his face, “Not sure, but with all those quarters looks like you can afford a steak or two.”
Gnar just smiled and nodded, “Go find Wormy and I will finish this drink so we can get out of here.”
“Ok, bro.” Bob bolted off in an instant to go find Wormy.
“Worm!” Bob said. “How did you do?”
“Not too good,” Worm chuckled. “How about you?”
“I am about even right now,” Bob said. “But I think Gnar has all your money.”
“Oh yeah?” asked worm. “Did he do well?”
“I guess he hit the jackpot!” said Bob.
“What an ass,” replied Worm. “I guess he is buying dinner then.”
“Yep,” grinned Bob, “he is buying us steaks!”
“I bet he is at the bar isn’t he?” Worm said.
They looked at each other and smiled.
“Yeah,” Bob replied. “ Let’s go get him so we can get out of here.”
Soon after, Worm and Bob found Gnar and they all left the casino to find a nice restaurant to enjoy some mouth watering steaks.
