(COSI) Charity Poker Championship sponsored by Horseshoe Casino on Thursday, January 22 at the River East Art Center. As the lucky tradition continues, Dan Bernstein from WSCR “The Score” AM 670 returns as emcee for the Texas Hold ‘Em competition. Tickets are now on sale for this evening of poker, partying and FUNdraising for Children’s Oncolgy Services, Inc. (COSI), that sells out every year! Players of all ranges will compete for the coveted grand prize of a seat at the 2009 World Series of Poker ($10,000 value) in Las Vegas.

This is the Third Annual Texas Hold’em Tournament on 10/26

This is the Third Annual Texas Hold’em Tournament benefiting The Center for Enriched Living. A nonprofit agency providing social and recreational opportunities for children, teen and adults with developmental disabilities.
The grand prize in the tournament is a trip to Las Vegas and a seat in the World Series of Poker. Cahill, last year’s winner, lasted through the end of the first day of play in Las Vegas.
This year’s event is scheduled to be held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 26, 2008, which is a Bears bye weekend. It will be held at Fields Chrysler Jeep Dodge, 670 Frontage Road, Northfield, Ill.
